EXPERIENCE
David has over 40 years of experience in sophisticated corporate transactions in the private and public markets, representing companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He also has extensive experience in various types of financings, including early stage capital raising, private placements, securitizations, lease transactions, syndicated loans and public offerings.
He began his career as an associate at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett and joined Coudert Brothers in 1977. David worked in Coudert’s New York, London and Singapore offices for 20 years. He was the Managing Partner of the Singapore office from 1995 to 1997. He also served as the General Counsel of Scholastic Inc., the publisher of children’s books, magazines and other educational materials, from 1983 to 1987. In 2001, David became a Partner and General Counsel of Springwell Capital Partners LLC, a merchant bank specializing in the communications and media industries. He also acted as general counsel for Springwell’s portfolio companies.
