Omar Hashim

Special Counsel

Omar Hashim represents startups, growth-stage companies, venture capital investors, and strategic acquirers across industries including technology, life sciences, artificial intelligence, software, entertainment, sports, media, and consumer products. He regularly advises clients throughout the corporate lifecycle, from formation and structuring to financings, governance, and exits, and has led numerous transactions spanning venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, secondary sales, tender offers, and recapitalizations.
Before joining Reitler, Omar was an associate in the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice at Goodwin Procter LLP, where he advised founders and investors on complex transactions and growth strategies. Earlier in his career, he practiced at Sheppard Mullin, Massumi + Consoli, and Palmieri, Tyler, Wiener, Wilhelm & Waldron, gaining broad experience across corporate and transactional matters.
Omar earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is based in Santa Monica, California.
