Liz Gil is a member of the Firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Companies group, representing market-leading startups and high-growth companies in venture financings and mergers and acquisitions. In her general corporate practice, Liz guides emerging technology, life sciences, and consumer goods companies on entity formation, securities compliance, employment, and governance matters. Recognized by clients for her practical and collaborative style, Liz helps entrepreneurs build sustainable governance structures, navigate critical corporate transactions, and scale with confidence. In her investor-side practice, she represents venture capital firms in matters including fund formation and investments in portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Reitler, Liz was a Founding Senior Attorney at Optimal Counsel LLP, a remote boutique law firm. Before Optimal, she practiced in the Emerging Companies group at Egan Nelson LLP, and in the New York office of Fenwick & West LLP.
Liz is a member of the New York chapter of the National Lawyers’ Guild and serves as a cohort mentor with Escape Velocity Partners, a Connecticut-based venture fund and accelerator. She is also a member of the Connecticut Technology Council, a nonprofit organization representing and supporting the state’s technology sector.
